DSB has announced that this summer (starting from June 1st until September 1st), all international trains to and from Germany will require mandatory seat reservations.
However, up until June 1st, DB reservations for long-distance/international trains are optional. This means;
- Pass holders can board the train after activating a journey in their app with a booked reservation seat (If preferred),
Or
- Pass holders can board the train after activating a journey in their app without a seat being assigned to them.
The above information has not been uploaded correctly into the timetable (reservation displays as mandatory) due to a technical error passed by the train schedule provider.
