This is a little guide or introduction to our timetable and how to navigate through it. The timetable works offline and it's updated 4 times per week, therefore no real data of travel disruptions such as strikes are shown.
By entering your departure and arrival station, you'll be shown all the possible connections available for that route. The details of each connection will include the trip duration, stops, changes, border crossings, train type, and whether a reservation is required or not.
In addition to the online timetable, you can also use our railway map to plan your route. Just so you know, the railway map only shows the main European routes, but it provides a clear overview of what your route could look like.
Certain filters will help your search and optimize it to get the best results that suit your travel plans.
After you've added your destination and time, you can also click on the buttons underneath this section to improve your results.
When selecting “Pass network only” shows only trains that are included. According to your travel plans, you can adjust these details to make your search more accurate.
And “No reservation needed” your results will only show the trains that fit your travel plans and don't require a reservation to board them.
Under the "Train type” that shows the common train types.
In “Changes” you're able to choose how many transfers you'd prefer, and you can also choose the transfer time desired for each route.
If you are not seeing any results it might be due to different reasons, for instance, the timetable is handling too many requests at a time. Try again or check back a little later.
It is important to know that our timetable only shows train times and reservation fee indications. If you want to start booking reservations, you will need to go to our 'Book reservations' page, log in and go through the process to book your seats.
Under the timetable, you will find additional information on how to start your planning process as well as some recommended popular train journeys, which are very useful when planning with a flexible mindset.
