The Pass best suited for your trip depends largely on how long you wish to travel for, how many countries you want to visit, and how many days you plan to travel within that period.

1. Eurail or Interrail?
The first thing to consider is your country of residence in order to decide whether you need an Eurail or Interrail pass.
You can travel with the Interrail Pass if you’re currently living in Europe and have European residency. Non-European citizens or non-European residents should go for the Eurail Pass.
2. Where to?

3. Pass validity period
There are two types of Passes in terms of validity period:
- Flexi Pass is an especially attractive option for travellers planning longer stop-overs during the trip. Flexi Pass IS valid for, for example, 5 days within 1 month, which means that in a 1-month period, you can pick any 5 days to travel. These can be all continuous, or you can spread them throughout the
- Continuous Pass means unlimited travel in between 7 and 90 consecutive days from the date of the pass's validity start date.

4. How many travel days do I need?
Make sure to choose the optimal amount of travel days on your Flexi Pass for the best experience.
Avoid situation where you don't have enough travel days to fully complete your itinerary or waste funds on travel days that you will not be able to use.
