There are various ferry connections between European destinations that can be more convenient than taking the train. Our Passes grant free or discounted access to several European ferry and boat routes. On this page you can find an overview of the major ferry companies that have a partnership with Eurail.
Travel days and ferries
When the ferry trip is covered by your Pass, you need to use a travel day. When traveling on an overnight ferry you should fill in the date of departure as a travel day in your Travel Calendar. Please note that you cannot start your travel before the first day of validity on your Pass.
If you travel on a discounted route, you don't need to use a travel day.
