A One Country Pass is only valid within the one country indicated on the Pass. You cannot use an Interrail One Country Pass to travel from another country to the country indicated on your Pass.
For Interrail travelers only:
This is also means you cannot travel from your country of residence to the country you choose for the One Country Pass.
Example: A resident of the Netherlands picks a One Country Pass - Spain for their 3 week-long holiday in Spain. The Pass is only valid for traveling in Spain, and cannot be used to travel from the Netherlands to Spain. Likewise, a resident of Spain cannot use a France Pass to travel in Spain as it is only valid in France.
*Please note that you cannot purchase a One Country Pass for your own country of residence. However, there are exceptions for the Benelux Pass and the Nordic Pass. Although they are categorized as One Country Passes, they are valid across multiple countries. If you reside in one of the included countries, you can buy the Pass, however, you are not allowed to use it for travel within your own country of residence. For example:
- The Benelux Pass is valid in 3 countries, but if you're a Dutch resident, you can only use this Pass for travel in Belgium and Luxembourg.
- The Nordic Pass is valid in 4 countries, and if you're a Swedish resident, you can only use this Pass for travel in Denmark, Norway and Finland.
