How do I book Greek ferries with a Global Pass or One Country Pass?

With a Global Pass or a Greece or Italy One Country Pass, you can travel on Attica Group ferries for free or at a discount. You book your ferry ticket directly with the ferry company. Check the table below to see what your Pass includes, then follow the booking steps.

What your Pass includes

* The crossing uses a travel day on your Pass, and you need to book a reservation in advance.
** Where available, on dormitories and airplane-type seats. The 30% discount applies to the passenger and vehicle fare only.
*** You get a 30% discount on economy class only if you’ve already crossed the Adriatic Sea with Superfast Ferries, or have a ticket for that crossing. The discount doesn’t apply if you crossed with another company.

A summer supplement applies per journey: €25 in July and August, and €15 in June and September.

How to book a domestic ferry

Domestic ferries are run by Blue Star Ferries, Hellenic Seaways and Anek Lines. Ferries to Crete can’t be booked online: contact Attica Group by phone or email instead (see below).

  1. Go to the ferry company’s website and enter your route, date and number of travellers.
  2. Select your ferry and click Proceed.
  3. Under Seat Type, select Economy.
  4. Under Passenger Type, select your age group.
  5. Under Discount, select Global Pass – 30% or the discount for your Pass.
  6. Enter your personal details.
  7. Under Discount ID / Document, enter your Pass number. For a paper Pass, this is the Pass Cover Number on the back of your Pass cover, near the QR code. For a mobile Pass, it’s the 6-digit number in your order confirmation email.
  8. Complete your booking.

How to book an international ferry

International ferries between Greece and Italy are run by Superfast Ferries.

  1. Go to the Superfast Ferries website and enter your route, date and number of travellers.
  2. Select your ferry and click Proceed.
  3. Under Seat Type, select Deck Lounge or Airplane Type Seats, depending on your Pass.
  4. Under Passenger Type, select your age group.
  5. Under Discount, select your Pass.
  6. Enter your personal details. Leave Discount ID / Document empty.
  7. Complete your booking.
  8. Collect your ticket. The confirmation email isn’t your ticket. Follow the steps in the email to get your actual ticket.

Good to know

  • Upgrades: if first-class seats are still free when the ferry leaves, you can upgrade for an extra cost. Ask the ferry staff just before you board.
  • Booking by phone or email: you can also book domestic and international ferries with Attica Group directly, by calling their call centre in Athens on +30 210 8919800 or emailing helpdesk@attica-group.com.
  • Cancellations: to cancel a ferry booking, contact the ferry company directly. We can’t cancel ferry bookings for you.
