It depends on the train. Each train operator sets its own refund conditions, so some reservations are refundable and others aren’t. For most refundable reservations, the amount you get back depends on how early you cancel. The booking fee of €2 per person, per train isn’t refundable.
Before you cancel, check the refund conditions for your train.
How to cancel and see your refund amount
- Log in to your account and go to Reservations overview.
- Select Refund tickets.
- Follow the steps. You’ll see how much you’ll get back before you confirm.
Before you confirm
- Cancellations can’t be undone. Once you confirm, your reservation is cancelled for good.
- Was your train cancelled by the train operator? Contact us before you request a refund. A refund requested in your account counts as a voluntary cancellation, so the standard conditions apply.
- Booked OUIGO? Request your refund on OUIGO’s Access your booking page, not in your Interrail account.
In some situations, you might be able to get a refund outside these conditions. Find out if you’re eligible for an exceptional refund
