Why can’t I edit or delete journeys from the previous day?
The Rail Planner app only lets you change journeys for today or future dates. After midnight, trips from the previous day are locked and can't be changed or deleted.
How does this affect night trains?
Night trains that start before midnight and arrive after are still linked to the original travel date. Once midnight passes:
- The journey is considered part of the previous day
- You can't edit or delete journeys from the previous day
What problem can this cause?
If you add a night train but later want to take a different train after midnight:
- The original trip stays in your planner
- The new journey may conflict with the old one
- The app may block you from adding the new trip
This is because overlapping journeys aren't allowed.
How can I avoid this issue?
If your plans change, delete any night train you won't take before midnight to avoid conflicts and allow new journeys to be added.
What if it’s already past midnight and I can’t remove the trip?
You can still plan your journey by adding it manually:
- Open the Rail Planner app
- Go to your planner
- Select Add trip manually
- Enter your journey details
